Garry and Barbara Marshall
ABOUT
An innovator in pop culture, writer/director, Garry Marshall believed that live, shared storytelling was one of the greatest human experiences.
On this principle, and with an affinity for community and summer camp-like spirit, Mr. Marshall and his family built a live theatre space for all in 1997. Now part of his legacy, the nonprofit space is aptly called Garry Marshall Theatre.
We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating community.
MISSION STATEMENT
Garry Marshall Theatre is a nonprofit arts organization at the intersection of Burbank and Toluca Lake, actively working to enrich the greater Los Angeles community by providing live arts experiences, cultivating artists, and educating the next generation in the power of live storytelling.
HISTORY
Garry Marshall Theatre is located where the heart of Burbank’s Media district meets the village of Toluca Lake. The critically acclaimed and award-winning venue known originally as the Falcon Theatre had its ground breaking in 1995. After 20 years of Mr. Marshall funding the Falcon, the nonprofit GMT is now only sustainable through donor support.
