For seven years, Isabel Omero was part of the on set rehearsals and live audience tapings with comedy legends Bea Arthur, Estelle Getty, Rue McClanahan, and Betty White. As the Script Supervisor for all seven seasons of “The Golden Girls,” from the pilot to the finale, no one shared more “face time” with the four 24-carat icons than Isabel Omero.
Isabel has never shared so many of her stories in one place at one time -- until now, in this one-night only, fundraising and eyebrow-raising, conversation to benefit the nonprofit Garry Marshall Theatre. Joining Isabel live on stage opening up more memories will be author/interviewer Jim Colucci, writer of the definitive book about the series, “Golden Girls Forever!”
Omero and Colucci will discuss the series’ illustrious roster of guest stars, unsung heroes of the show, and behind-the-scenes recounting of press tours and publicity events with the stars of the series. Omero’s years with the “Girls” give her a special point of view about their massive successes, and insight into the beginning days of the show. She and Colucci will discuss the lost spinoff series that was in development, and yes, Isabel’s surprising account of “the feud.” She will also share something that will change the way any fan will watch the show forever, and so much more!
Cheesecake Valentine: “Golden Girls” Memories & Conversation” is presented by Garry Marshall Theatre with producing partner Bryan Snodgrass.
The evening will boast rare on-set photos, a display of Golden Girls glamour by photographer Wayne Williams, a special silent auction of an authenticated photo from Isabel Omero’s private collection, signed by all four Golden Girls, and of course… a cheesecake reception.

Isabel Omero served as Script Supervisor/Production Associate for over four decades on more than 1000 half-hours of television comedy and music series. Including “NewsRadio,” “8 Simple Rules,” “The Geena Davis Show,” “The Midnight Special, “Solid Gold,” the pioneering first months of “MTV,” and most notably, all seven seasons of “The Golden Girls.” During those years she managed additional careers as a voice actor and writer (including three episodes of “The Golden Girls.”) More recently, Isabel has found joy in live, local, entertainment events from art shows to vaudeville revues to evenings like this one. She’s produced and hosted art, music, fashion and dance events at such venues as the Downtown LA Art Walk, the LA Craft & Folk Art Museum, LA’s massive Night On Broadway, Zulu Lounge, San Francisco’s ArtIsMobilUs Gallery, Burbank’s Holiday In The Park, Burning Man Decompression, an evening of world dance and international music at LA’s historic El Rey Theatre, and her very own Omeroshow variety revue. In 2022 she was the driving force behind the first-ever Burbank Pride celebration in the center of Magnolia Park. In recognition of this and other nonprofit efforts, in 2023 Isabel was named by Congressman Adam Schiff as Burbank’s Woman of the Year. All Isabel Omero wants is to be a positive, relatable, dependable source of welcome and delight. Is that too much to ask?
