Do Re Mi is back in 2026! Join the fun-filled youth chorus dedicated to finding tone, pitch, blend and vocal dynamics. The benefits of singing in a group, chorus or ensemble are infinite. In the Fall session we will build upon our first months in 2026 and work towards a December performance on the GMT stage!
Participants, ages 7-17, are certain to incrementally improve all aspects of their vocal ability. Additionally, choral singing is a proven way to become a more adept solo performer. We will meet three times each month from January to April, and utilize fun activities to challenge our ear training, develop proper breathing, find volume dynamics, and understand healthy vocal habits. Taught by professionals, participants will journey through the many components that inform vibrant singers in a group or solo setting, making dynamic sound, and storytelling through song. A joyful selection of music will be learned, including history about the songwriters and why these songs are relevant. For those who are consistent participants through November, we will celebrate all the chorus has accomplished together with our winter performance!
There are no refunds or exchanges. This program is non-transferable (to other programs or people) or eligible for future credits.
There are no make up class opportunities for missed sessions.

There is a long history of dance in the Marshall Family. Garry’s mother Marjorie was a dance instructor in the Bronx, NY. And the neighborhood all learned tap and jazz and broadway style dance from her.
GMT STEP TOUCH is a NEW youth dance series for ages 10-17. For all levels of dancers, this will be a great opportunity to figure out how to move with style and groove with attitude. We will learn all the best moves from the dance floor, Broadway shows and movie musicals. And it all starts with a step touch.
This series will be taught by professionals in the LA and NYC dance communities.

Wicked Awesome Hats

This is a hands-on program offered through GMT Teen Tech. Participants will design, pattern, and sew their own unique hats inspired by the musicals Wicked and The Wizard of Oz! Here is where individual creative ideas are brought to life. Explore professional millinery materials like buckram, horsehair, and millinery wire while learning essential techniques in shaping and construction. This class is all about creativity, craftsmanship, and making something truly one of a kind. And participants will have their hats displayed in the GMT lobby and then will be able to take them home!

Hocus Pocus: Scene & Scream

Prop Making, Soundscapes, and Fantastical Scenic Design collide in GMT's very popular, halloween-themed, exterior creative display experience!
This year, participants will work with professional designers and creative directors to fully-realize an expansive exterior building display inspired by the film “Hocus Pocus” featuring our very own Garry Marshall and his sister Penny, alongside Bette Midlere, Kathy Najimi, and Sarah Jessica Parker.
The 2026 large scale Halloween display at GMT will bring the whimsy and comedy of “Hocus Pocus” to life. This 2-day immersive process will involve the creation, assembling, and styling of the display that will take over the front of GMT this Halloween.
Components will include foam carving, scenic painting, fabric work, lighting, skeleton and zombie styling, and sound design. Names of the co-creators will be listed for the community to applaud as they walk by this October.

This is a hands-on program offered through GMT Teen Tech. Participants will design, style, and create their own unique showpiece wigs inspired by the magical worlds of Wicked and The Wizard of Oz! This is where imagination and artistry come together to transform ordinary wigs into extraordinary theatrical creations. Explore professional wig styling techniques, materials, and tools while learning essential skills in shaping, construction, fit, application, and character design. From fantastical shapes and textures to dazzling embellishments, participants will learn how wigs can become a powerful storytelling tool on stage. And participants will have their finished wigs displayed in the GMT lobby before taking them home to showcase their work!
