Session 5 [1-Week Camp]

Jr. Tech and Teen Tech Puppet Making Summer Camp

August 3-7

M-F 9am-4pm

Youth: 9-11
Teens: 12-17

  • $650

JR. TECH: PUPPET MAKING TEEN TECH: PUPPET MAKING is a 1-week, hands-on immersive experience for youth age 9-11 and teens age 12-17 to explore the art of puppet making. Participants will learn to design, sculpt, and engineer their own unique puppets. We will start by considering the character, choosing materials, and exploring fundamental puppet-building and operating techniques. Creativity abounds with additional materials including custom googly eyes, foams, fabrics, and appliqués of pipe cleaners, faux fur, and more!

By the end of the week, participants will be practicing puppet manipulation, inventing character mannerisms, and collaborating to create puppet theatre with professional puppeteers. Puppets will be taken home after our final day to continue storytelling.

Please be sure to check your calendar before purchase as classes and camps are nonrefundable.
